Alyssa Norton (b. 1973) is an American artist based in Somerset, UK. She received a degree in painting from Cornell University and a Master’s from the Instituto Allende in Mexico. Norton’s foundation in fine art, along with years immersed in fashion and jewelry design, has shaped her distinct  visual language. Driven by process and experimentation, her work explores the interplay of light, texture and movement through contrasting materials. Silk and paper, stained with plant-based pigments and layered with acrylic, establish a dialogue between the organic and the synthetic, the fluid and the fixed. These tensions speak to impermanence, memory, and the balance between control and dissolution. Themes of celebration, mourning, and transformation emerge through the recurring presence of flowers—emblems of ritual, remembrance, and time.

She is currently developing a body of work to be exhibited in 2025.
